From the invisible to
the incredible

The art of transforming perceptions through photography.

Entomological collection

Every collection is a unique adventure. I choose the country and region, travel, go out, search, find, and collect. The quest has no set time—day or night—because everything depends on the species and their habits. I set up a remote laboratory and make the selection. The most exotic ones are, of course, my favorites!

Entomological mounting

After the selection, I begin a rare and delicate entomological process. I freeze the specimen to eliminate any living bacteria, then place it in a humid chamber to maintain its flexibility. Artistically, I choose the best position for photography, mount it on a wooden pinning board, and wait up to two days for it to dry.

Photography studio

My studio is mobile and goes with me wherever I collect. Once everything is ready, I only need to position the insect and adjust the lighting (this detail is very important!). I use a Hasselblad medium format camera because of Hasselblad’s Natural Colour Solution, which is the only camera in the world capable of capturing the animal’s natural color. I don’t manipulate the images, as preserving the essence is fundamental.

Fine art printing

Fine Art Printing Once the photograph is captured, I move on to print testing, as every detail matters. I use 100% cotton Hahnemühle papers and natural pigment inks, and I sign each piece. In this way, art surrenders to the perfection of nature, and showcasing this almost unknown beauty is my ultimate goal.
